Anyone tried the beanies? I just got mine and it’s hilariously tight. My gf said, and I quote “you look like a rubber”.. based on them being merino will I figured they’d be loose and thick like their turtlenecks but nope..
the old ones fit me quite well, and I have a slightly bigger than average head. Not sure if it was from last year or two years ago, would be weird if they changed the design since then.

I'm just going to say that the level of support from S&M has gotten ridiculous to me. My email and follow ups have gone 9 days without a reply. They lost my continuous support from now.
It definitely isn't great that they haven't gotten back to you, but just to chime in, I've only ever had one issue with a pair of trousers needing to be returned. I had them altered already, and then noticed how badly produced they were. I emailed them and they responded back and forth to me within 24 hours each time. Took the trousers back and sent out a new pair for me. Took about a week in total. In my opinion, they have great service and great prices.

I have one one the way right now, so that's a bit disappointing. I do have a rather small head lol so maybe it'll be ok though.

I have a couple but think the opposite, they are not as tight and short as i'd like but really can't grumble at the price - my head measures 57cm taken from 1cm above the eyebrow. The length issue is easily resolved by double folding - and don't forget I have no/very little hair on my head so that probably leaves quite a bit of excess room in the top

I sent them an email follow up for a return yesterday telling them I am traveling next week (not a lie), and they got back to me within a couple of hours with my return slip.

I do have very fuzzy hair but honestly it’s tight to the point where it feels like ear warmers (which isn’t a bad thing) rather than a thick fluffy slouchy beanie.
It kinda looks like this on me:

But i hoped it’d look like this

I have that PS one, and honestly it looks a bit the same on me too. Weirdly, it looks fine most of the time because I specifically wear it when I'm just walking, and if I'm just walking I typically have over-ear headphones on. With the headphones, it looks fine (and is short enough not to cover my ears, which is perfect for the fit of my headphones), but without headphones I look a lot like some kind of hoodlum burglar or something.

Thank you mate. Do you mean that it looks right like the first picture or fuzzy like the second one? I have wondered about buying it but I really do want one that’s super thick and fluffy

Mine looks like the first one you posted if I'm not wearing headphones. If I am wearing headphones, then it looks mostly like the second one, only with headphones.

It was intentionally designed to be shorter (the turn up in it is even anchored in place with a couple of stitches), as a proper "watch cap" as opposed to a "beanie" - so I also have a thicker and longer beanie proper, which doesn't fit well under my headphones but does look way more natural whenever I'm not planning on having them with me.

You can achieve the second look by double folding, will try and post a picture later.

Frankly, most of the toque/beanie aesthetics that look good don't even cover your ears...so what's the point?

Do you just buy really big sizes so it's baggy up top?

I feel like the streetwear guys may know how to do this better.

I vote for having multiple sizes for beanies. People's head sizes are very VERY different. Why the manufacturers keeps on saying "one size fits all" is like saying H. Ford saying "you can have any color you want so long as it's black."
