Today's attire feature a Abraham Moon Shetland wool in a dark brown herringbone pattern. Included a couple of more pics than usual to highlight the different shades of brown. Definitely a favourite in my wardrobe.

Great jacket! Do you know if it is available MTO?

Yes and your Hugo Boss fast fashion looks , well y’all can fill in the rest.

Every brand has plus and minus. For instance the grey flannel sportjacket with integrated nylon vest is better than SM's full nylon. Don't be a brandwhore lol.

Received the light gray and camel high-rise flannels yesterday. Noticed that SM label color is green and includes the word "sartorial". I can't really put my finger on it, but the high-rise fit seems to have been improved a bit straight out the box. I like these touches.

Is it satin smoother than before. Can you take a pic of it?

I think Rick mentioned a while back that the high-rise had been tweaked. I remember something about deeper pleats. Maybe a fuller cut as well?

I like the idea of the knit button downs...don't love the colors. I've been going back and forth on something similar that Stoffa is selling.

I think the French placket for something like this is a must...it would look weird otherwise.

Interesting to see the new denim hit the site. A couple of reactions:

(1) I'm not wild about the distressing/fading on the lighter washes. I probably would have been in if they were just a uniform lighter shade, but this doesn't really appeal.

(2) I'm also a little unsure about the size chart. I usually take a 30 Slim, but the waist measurement noted there (31.8 inches) seems kind of large if you assume they'll stretch a bit more in the waist, like most jeans. I'm pretty sure sizing down to 29 Slim would be too tight in the hip measurement, but I might try a 29 Contemp.

Personally I think you’re missing a point here. This guy could be wearing the ugliest shirt there is, he’s a good looking guy in reasonably good shape. That’s probably why clothes look okay if not good on him that would look ugly in 99% of the people that don’t look after their bodies. This is like watching the sopranos, great clothing and all but you can see how some characters pull off looks simply because they’re good looking

I call that the Brad Pitt in Ocean's 11 effect

I took a 30 and hope they fit as got them hemmed. I usually wear a 30 Extra Slim in their chinos and the old 30 Slim accord Trousers fit me great. They have a 32” waist. Sizing down to 29 would have made it much too tight in the waist I feel

The hand is definitely different. A little less spongy, with some slight structure. I’ll try and take a pic of this years’ vs. last years’.

True indeed. Whatever they did, I’m for it. Oh, and the pleats are deeper as well. Noticed this both on my MTO suit trews and the new high rise flannels, though on the MTO trews, I asked for that specifically.
