Half inch in chest ain’t much at all. If that’s all it is I think I size up with the ulster coat like I did with the dB overcoat
The extra length is great!

I'm tempted to size up, but the fear I have is that the dimensions of the 40 look bigger than the 40 tweed polo coat I own, which is already borderline for me.

I don't know, I might go ahead and pull the trigger on a 40 just to see- this is kind of a BIFL item...

Edit: Went ahead and ordered a 40, I'll report back with thoughts on sizing when I have both in hand

Are we sure the Ulster coat measurements are correct? the size chart gives references to a single breasted topcoat and the length measurements give the inch/cm measurements combined..

The chest and shoulder of a 40 looks very close to my Peacoat in the same size and I’d struggle to wear a sportcoat under that.

Would be good to get some clarification on this.

Two things I noticed- the chest on the 38 is only 1/2" bigger than the DB coat, but the waist is 1.6" wider. Additionally, there's a gusset in the back, which is only on the Polo Coat and adds some room.

For the length, im reading the first number as cm and the second as inches

I assume the navy Abraham Moon field jacket with the belt lacks an internal drawstring. Anyone know for sure?

Just received the new Neo cut sport coat today. For me, I prefer the previous version. The new version jacket fits tight to me, I’m considering whether to return it.

Just got in the high rise chinos. They're pretty glorious. It's not super duper high rise (nothing Spier makes really is in my experience) but goes up to just about my belly button. See attached ****** mirror pic for reference. I'm super happy with this.

Those look great. What waist size did you get and do they match the waist measurement on the website? Size 30 sold out way quicker than I thought in that color, hoping for a restock.

My linen safari jacket has two loops on the back side seams.
I just l tie the belt in the back to shape the waist a bit.

Do the safari jackets have belt loops? Do people wear them without the belt?

I've had some safaris which belt loops I took out and the waist taken in a bit. The belt is strictly a style issue and bothersome in my book. Plus it looks bad if you have a belly, which I don't, but a warning otherwise.
