I'd like some suggestions on alterations:
I bought the green minmis seersucker suit from last season. The jacket was cut smaller than usual which I believe is the common sentiment for that lot. I feel the general tightness around the armhole especially near the armpits. Where should I ask the tailor to let out? I'm especially interested in hearing from those who altered the same suit. @pickergc came to my mind first but any feedback would be greatly appreciated ☺️

I had a special occasion at the office and it was the perfect opportunity to FINALLY wear the full canvas navy I had bought 16 months ago. It felt wonderful.

Gents, I understand you two own the full canvas John Cavendish Neo suit. I, too, own it as well, and want to hear more from you two about it. I’ve only worn it once, for a 2.5-hour presentation back in November 2020. I really, really, have high expectations for it and desperately want to like it. In fact, I thought I’d be reaching for it more often than I do. Unfortunately, that’s not the case. I have issues with the trousers and the quarters seem too open to me. This is even after having much experience with Neo sportcoats in the same size, which I love. I want to believe the suit cuts a dynamic, flattering silhouette on me, but I just ain’t seeing it with this one. I may have to chalk up the L. Or, I could be trippin’. Was there an adjustment period for you two with this suit? Hoping to initiate some dialogue so as to help me potentially see this suit in a different light and embrace it more.

do most guys size up and take in the waist on these (I'm 30, it says 2cm smaller, so like ~3/4 in smaller in hip and thigh but waist/leg opening are still the usual measurements)?

If I could choose again I would definitely size up although they get looser as the day goes by because I’m assuming the linen “stretches out”

did you find waist too tight or it's elsewhere?

I own it but haven't worn it yet, so I couldn't tell you my experience yet.

Interesting yo read about your experience though. What's your issue with the trousers?

From the looks of it, the Cavendish looks to be cut the same way as other Neo jackets. Have you had another suit made in the Neo cut? Wondering if your issue could be that you don't like the Neo cut for suits, but prefer it for jackets only?

What a fantastic collection mate! That brown M&E houndstooth is also one that I considered - really great choice.

Curious what alterations your tailor will be making to MTO jackets - did they come in off spec or is he making adjustments that aren't available through MTO?
Thanks mate. I'm really happy with all jackets.

It's the sleeve length that requires adjustments. I got it wrong when I placed the orders.
