How does it compare to regular half-canvass S&M jackets? More comfortable, lighter, more breathable?
I'd say the two greatest advantages for me are: drape and durability. A fully canvassed jacket follows the shape of the body more naturally rendering a better drape and will last longer due to the superior construction eventhough today's glueing technique has become far better than before.

The jacket feels more comfortable than the navy hopsack I have from S&M. It drapes better and casts a nice silhouette. Keep in mind that I've only worn this suit twice since buying the item and am still feeling it out however it is great so far.

dark brown houndstooth on the far right is a pattern I have really wanted. Was that ever an regular release or did you get it MTO? That glen check fox brother is also so good
Thanks. The houndstooth was a MTO and is not available in the custom section. I asked S&M to specifically source it for me from Marling & Evans.

thank you so much, last question, do you mind sharing your thoughts and maybe a picture comparing the houndstooth pattern of the cream/tan one abraham moon one and this marling and evans. It seems the marling and evan has a smaller pattern scale

Here you go. The Marling & Evans fabric is more scratchy and rustic. It feels more wintery-y/tweed-y. That's not necessarily a negative, just saying. The houndstooth of the former is definitely smaller in scale.

Your MTO posts keep making me want to declare bankruptcy. I feel the need to add that ME to my hit list this winter now lol

Dang those are sweet, I would love to get me some of those jackets but I found out I’m going to be a dad so priorities have changed a little bit
Congratulations, mate. That's the best feeling in the world. Wish you guys all the best!
