Can anyone suggest whether I should stick with my current size (32 contemporary) or size up and take in the waist and lower leg? My thighs are too damn thick for these and it seems to affect my ability to keep my crotch looking normal. I can’t seem to put my phone and wallet in the pockets but then again I’d rather not do that anyways. I mean some pics they look great, and they’re not uncomfortable per se, I just wonder if a bigger size would fit me better. Thoughts?
I would go with the 33 and see. I think the 34 might be too big.

Linen blazer from last year. I think I got this for something like $80-$90 when they were doing that big jacket sale where they were just trying to get rid of inventory, ended up being an incredibly useful jacket.

Could probably stand to shorten the sleeves though.
That's a great deal.

Bought both 33 and 34 so we’ll see which is the winner. I’ll report back!
Good plan. I've a similiar build and thought I was a 32 contemporary, not fun in linen. I've been ordering 33 since then.

I decided to try a 34 in covert twill because I thought I could get away with a looser fit with the heavier drape.

Turns out, I think 34 is my actual real size, because it isn't really loose.

This is good. I mistakenly bought 30 first cause I thought that was my size. Obviously it wasn’t, and when 32 was able to fit well on my waist I thought I was golden. If nothing else I may just call it a learning experience for this summer and hopefully I can get the proper size for my trousers this upcoming fall/winter

I only wish I hadn’t gotten 6+ pairs lol.. I’m gonna try on the linens today and take pics. Hoping those are a little bigger since I don’t remember them fitting as tight

This is the navy hopsack blazer. I went with a 40S, but I’m wondering if I should try a 40R next time. I did try a 40R S&M jacket a while ago and IIRC it looked too long. 29.5” jacket length is my sweet spot.

Thoughts?

(imho) 40R!

Reporting back with pictures of my other pairs. Interestingly enough it seems that the pair I posted earlier (taupe quest cotton) may be a bit tighter than the others since the rest fit a little bit better, not perfect, but certainly better.
Pics are navy linen, olive linen, olive QC, brown QC. So yeah, after seeing these in a better light, I think I’ll try 33 in whatever I can find online. Perhaps I can try to let out the seat on these if I do need to later on.
