Parka arrived this past week. If you are interested in a nice trim fit, the medium works well for me but feels a bit like being in a sausage casing when zipped up (keeping in mind I like a relaxed fit). The double zipper helps so you can open up the bottom for some extra room. I mentioned the snug fit in the body to my wife and she decided to try it on, it never came off her lol. :rotflmao: so I now have a large on order for me to try out.

Thanks for the review. Might keep this jacket on my radar. Looking forward to hearing how you like the fit of the Large.

Hey, guys.

Just FYI, with the new lockdown restrictions that went into effect for Toronto & Peel Region, unfortunately both of our retail stores will be closed until further notice. If you have any garments that were being altered in the tailor shop, we will contact you to arrange a curbside pickup appointment once the work has been completed.

The lockdown shouldn't affect our online operations, so website orders will still be packed & shipped as per normal. Michael & I will continue to monitor the customer service email inbox and respond to inquiries as quickly as possible.

Thank you for your patience & understanding, and please stay safe!

I swear I've probably posted this combination before but it's just so solid. Fox flannel jacket, light wash denim shirt, stone covert twill

Are the arms a bit loose/baggy for anyone?

I got a suit from the sale and it fits me well besides the arms, a bit too loose.

Can I tailor this or is it not worth doing?

@SpierTeam when will you guys get the extra slim fit chinos back in stock? I've been waiting for the past 4 months.
Yes, same. Last I heard the spring/summer lightweight chino’s were due about 2 weeks ago and nothing yet, and no word on normal weight staple chino’s. I am guessing maybe December with the 5 pocket cords??

I believe a tailor can slim the sleeves, yes

Does the "anti-pill" treatment on S&M sweaters really work?
I think you may have some better replies from others, but I'll throw in my $0.02. I have two of their v-necks from their first generation of knitwear. They weren't advertising any anti-pill treatment at the time, but 3-4 years and hundreds of wears later, the sweaters have no pilling anywhere. I can only assume they've gotten better since they started advertising the anti-pill treatment. More recently I've gotten one of their regular cardigans, and this too has zero pilling. In my admittedly less than expert opinion, whatever they're doing to their thinner knits works, at least better than the vast majority of the other knitwear I've worn.
The new shawl collar cardigan is a rather different animal. I've worn this very, very heavily the past 2-3 weeks, and I don't think the anti-pill treatment works as well here. That's not to knock the product, it's probably the single most comfortable piece of clothing I own, and it feels likely to stand up to what will doubtlessly be tremendous use and abuse for many years to come, but it's definitely not looking new anymore. There are some pills (not to any egregious degree, but noticeable if you're looking for them), especially under the forearms from sitting at my desk typing, and in general the sweater appears very slightly fuzzy, in contrast to the pristine yarns/ribs present when I bought it. I don't really have much to compare it to, but I feel like this may just be the natural outcome of the thicker and more plush yarns.
Sadly, I have no experience with the turtle necks or cable knits (yet, I'm sure I'll eventually remedy this), which should fall somewhere in between the shawl collar cardigan and the crew/v necks, so I can't really weigh in on them.
Hope this helps.

Yes, this is a notorious problem with S&M. I recently had a tailor take in the bicep area and the end result was good.

I wouldn't mind if the biceps were even larger, tbh.

Looks like the white OCBD has been restocked for those that we’re looking for a plain white one!
