How do you know that you are a 38 then? Did you measure your chest? Would help if you can provide your measured chest and waist size (not what trouser waist size you wear) and your height/weight.
It was mostly as a reference just to ask about the difference between any given size in slim and contemporary. Furthermore I just sort off guesed it would be around a 38. I didn't know my measurments yet, but just had them taken. Chest measures in at (if the cm to inch converter is right) to 37,4'' and a waist of 31,5''. I'm 6'1'' and 162 lb.

Grey Donegal - this fabric is great guys, if you’re looking for a grey SC then you should give this one a closer look.
Botto Giuseppe army green flannels.
C7 collar shirt.

For those of you with S&M winter sport coats, do you take the same as your spring/summer sport coat size? Just curious if they take into account how in summer you aren’t really layering vs winter you could be wearing a shirt&sweater or thick cable knit underneath. As wouldn’t this pose a problem?

I take the same size, I wear contemporary in both summer/winter pieces but also fit into the slim equally well but the slim could be a touch snug with a chunky knit underneath.

Damn, I wish my MTM shirts fit this well, that's a great fit.
Not bad fit, though definetely too short both for tucked and for untucked.

it looks like it fits well, but it’s definitely a little more snug/constricting in reality. As for the overall length, if I was to wear it tucked in, it would be with higher rise denim (Wranglers)- so I’m not overly concerned about it coming untucked with those, but it is still a little shorter than I’d prefer

Have my eye on the Bottoli Green Donegal, think I’ll try the 36R Slim and if it is tight with a thicker knit underneath I’ll try the contemporary. Thanks

At 6’1” the 38R in either contemporary or slim may be a bit short in the body. 38L will be better in length but probably a bit too big in the chest/waist. At 18 years old, your budget probably won’t give you much flexibility but if possible, consider MTO 38 slim with a little extra length (say 30.5”)

Has anyone gotten their shipping notification for the field jackets? Ordered mine within a few hours of the drop but haven't gotten the email.

Data point. Just received my western shirts, as a reminder I wear a 38R contemporary jacket, am 5’11”/160lbs/34.5 sleeve/15 neck:
View attachment 1490593

This is a slim Small, which per the size chart, should fit me. It technically does fit me, but it’s a tad more slim than I would like through the chest and the sleeves. Also, the collar isn’t overly stiff but does have removable collar stays. I want to exchange for a Slim Medium, but my big concern is with how short the shirt is. It’s definitely designed to be untucked, but I would likely wear it tucked in.
Thanks for posting. I agree that is too short. If I size up in this shirt, it will still be 2 full inches shorter than normal S&M shirt lengths in my size. I'm on the long-tall side, so I think I should probably pass on these western shirts. Too bad, but can't win them all!

Yeah I ordered one a couple hours after they were released. Just got shipping notice this afternoon.
