I'm a little less bullish on Neo than many here because I think the lapels can be a little too much. I'm all for a wide lapel, but damn. I probably prefer the standard lapels, though I do like the character of 3-roll-2
I really like the look of it on the suit, however may stick to normal for Sport Coat's. Dunno, depends if something pops up mainly that I really like in a Neo, like another Harris Tweed lol

Speaking of which, is Rick doing any Harris Tweed OTR this FW?

Don't think so, seems the odd time they re-do fabrics every 2-3 years so maybe FW21 or FW22 they may do another Harris Tweed? I love the stuff, but I don't got the funds to pay the price tag in MTO for it lol. I almost bought it as it was in my size this Summer, but got the Peacoat instead. Kind of regret, but also wanted the Peacoat lol

Agreed, especially with the beautiful natural shoulder the wide lapels stand out a little too much for my liking.
Yes and I think in addition to the width of the lapel, the gaping gorge is just a tad loud for me. The standard lapels are nice because they are still nice and broad and classic without too much noise.

Having said that I own a few Neapolitan pieces including this season's Marling & Evans sportcoat, which I'm really enjoying, so we're definitely getting into the weeds a bit.

What % of your 703 posts are some variation of this same comment?
At least 30%, then 20% about shorts, and probably 40% about not actually wearing suits and sport coats.
Sorry... Yes, some of my posts may be redundant, but I would like to hope that at least some of my replies help others out with size advice or other matters who are wary of maybe posting due to being slightly belittled on the internet. Finding S&M has been great as I've always hated how other things fit me so I became less self-conscious and most people here have been great and share amazing advice and outfit pictures/ideas.
However, I didn't see any rules on the thread about posting specific topics/articles of clothing and not being able to share what we are all here for being excitement for future S&M items; I am sorry I enjoy the casual nature of dress as well. Instead of coming back with a snarky comment, people can come out and maybe say politely not to post about topics as often, or maybe share their excitement too. Being like this doesn't help the community, it separates it and deters people. We need positivity, in these times especially.

Wonder if they will be offering more peak lapel sport coats and suits. Obviously available in MTO
but very limited otherwise.

And you do embody the lighthearted, anticipatory joy of buying new clothes. As someone who buys 3 or 4 precious things from SM a year, I like knowing there are dudes like you wearing out your credit cards and keeping the Mississauga doors open. Don’t stop sharing your retail joyride, brother.

Heading out for a COVID test this afternoon. Changed out of pj’s into my light brown Moon tweed with no change in comfort.

I know they are starting to come out with more traditional odd jackets with padded shoulders and flap pockets, like the VBC Navy Blazer that came out this season. Potentially they will make one OTR with this kind of fit w/ peak lapels. As for suits, unknown.

I am early 20's and only started learning about things like OCBD's, Linen, Corduroy, etc. this time last year. Honestly, most of my discretionary spending in my budget has went to S&M during this Pandemic and I am glad to help them out. I do enjoy buying new clothes, and always eager to try them and learn anything new.
