That is weird. It showed 598 for me. And it was usd and not cad, cause the brown houndstooth was 448.

Enjoy it, mate! I've seen a couple of pics of it in the wild now, and the green looks rather muted.

Thank you mate! This was an instant purchase for me, actually really love the green check. I have a similar summer piece from another maker (brown check with green overcheck) and it is really easy to pair.

Already bought more than I was expecting this season and have MTO's on the way too, hopefully no more. ?

That's what we all say, then Rick comes out with something else you've been looking for for a while next week and you just say to yourself "okay, just this last piece and that's it!". Rinse and repeat ?

I do love the colours but I just wish the pattern was smaller.

I have 2. This is the herringbone in size
40:

This is the camel in size 38:
View attachment 1478835

for reference, I'm 5’10.5”, 155-160, and wear a 38R Contemporary Spier jacket. I feel like both fit, though the herringbone feels like it has more room for movement with a jacket underneath. That said, I’ve hesitated to size up on the camel because of the pliability of the fabric- since it’s not as stiff as the herringbone, I’d be concerned the markers of a jacket that’s too big (divots in the shoulder specifically) would be more pronounced.

Also, @MacGuffen: not the brown one, but still both coats you referenced
Any chance you could share with us how the neopolitan jacket in size 38R fits on you? I literally have the same specs as you and wear a 36R and wonder whether I should size up.

Sure! Neopolitan is my favorite style, here’s a couple pictures I was able to find. Reminder for reference: I’m 5’ 10.5”, fluctuate between 155-160 lbs, 38 chest, 32 waist/inseam, 34.5” sleeve, 15 neck. All jackets/suits are 38R Contemporary.

Charcoal Neo suit (circa 2018):

Solaro suit (SS2019):

Flannel suit separates (FW2019):

Harris Tweed jacket (FW2019):

Hopsack blazer (SS2019- probably my most worn jacket):

Bonus- since people have commented on the camel overcoat, a couple extra photos. I wish it were a couple inches longer (6”-12” realistically), but I still like it a lot:

Do you make any alterations to the jackets in that size?

nope, only alteration is hemming the pants. After discovering S&M’s Neo, I have a very hard time justifying MTM/MTO (outside of fabric selection).

I’ll add that Neopolitan jackets are slightly longer than the standard jackets. 38R is borderline too short for me in the normal jacket, though it works. 38R Neo is the perfect length, and 38L Neo is too long for me. I haven’t tried 38L on the regular jackets, though I have one I’m looking at.

Also, for anyone interested- navy shawl cardigan ordered. I gave my measurements to S&M via PM on Instagram and they seemed very confident that a small was the proper fit (even though all my merino sweaters from S&M are medium...), so I’ll post pics/impressions when it comes in.

Wow, I like to think the Neo cut fits me perfectly OTR, but after seeing these pictures, I realize not. Thanks for the pictures!

I have always been hesitant on the Neo jackets as I take the 36R Slim normal cut, but I think I should give it a try now. Just have been weary and figured the wider lapel and shoulder, along with tad extra length would be an issue.

I'm a little less bullish on Neo than many here because I think the lapels can be a little too much. I'm all for a wide lapel, but damn. I probably prefer the standard lapels, though I do like the character of 3-roll-2

Agreed, especially with the beautiful natural shoulder the wide lapels stand out a little too much for my liking.
