Yea it has some sheen. The jacket due to the darker green is more suitable for formal use even though the texture says otherwise. At least among all my other greens it's the hardest to wear casually.

What other green jackets do you have? I been considering a green casual jacket.

Also you mentioned S&M, might not be for me. What other brand would you recommend?

@spiermackay Hey Rick, are the suede chukkas gonna be okay in rain or will the upcoming Vancouver autumn ruin them if I get caught in a downpour?

Waterproof spray them. I've worn suede year-round in Vancouver with no problem, all still look like new. The Collonil-Carbon-Spray from Amazon is my favorite.

This is a 38R on me, should I try 38L? Leaning towards sticking with 38R

This is such a nice fabric. Linen wool silk looks like wool but airy and cool wearing. It's a lot redder than the prev VBC brown slub but the fabric is nicer. Would look more relaxed with beige / cream buttons.
+1 .... one of my faves

Does this spray darken the suede any? Was going to get it, but ended up getting a can of Saphir Nano Invulner on sale from Harry Rosen. When this runs out I was planning on trying this

I've used Saphir spray for suede and whatever cheap suede protector I had lying around the house. All do the job.

Heads up to my fellow 40S contemporary wearers

I’ll be going in to exchange my washed cotton navy suit separates today.
Anyone who missed out, keep your eye for it reappearing online in your size!

Another SM banger, straight out the UPS box. Zignone blue check sportcoat. Paired here with SM light gray trousers that need tailoring. Attempted to do pattern on pattern with shirt and sportcoat. Switched from 38R to 38L on my last three sportcoats and glad I made the change.
