Anyone know if there's a difference in sleeve width between Slim and Contemporary sportcoats? I was under the impression that there wasn't a difference, but wanted to see if anyone could confirm/deny.
Contemporary has a little more room

Can anyone speak to the quality and fit of the polos, tees, sweatshirts, knitwear? I ordered polos some years ago and they were pretty terrible. I'm seeking to build up the casual wardrobe. These pieces look great on the site but so did the polos I purchased at one time. Thanks!

Knitwear is incredible value, sweatshirts ain’t it, same with polos from years ago. I think knits are a safe bet tho

spier used to be able to do 2 in cuff with 32 inseam (my size) but they said not enough fabric lately. It wasn’t a full cuff. lately I ordered 1.75 inch cuff and 32 hem from spier and it came with added a piece of fabric to do the cuff which didn’t bother me so I think it’s now even shorter… olive corduroy is 1.75 and donegal is 2 (fake cuff) from few years ago. I really wish they offer longer fabrics for those of us tall (like cavour for example)
That extra material is hem tape and was used correctly here.

Oh thx but why for the first time they used it. They hemmed like 10+ pairs for me
Could be the type of material, or their apparent recent change of policy concerning hemming. I have loads of hem tape that came will my PRL suits, never needed it as they provided adequate hem allowance.

I will say the pants that came with my Emerald label stuff were longer than 37" FWIW.

Anybody have thoughts on the spier and mackay shoes, particularly the loafers? Toss up between getting Meermins or S&Ms. Advantages for S&M - ease of return, fast shipping, and accurate size and fit guides. It'd be my first Meermin purchase. Wearing it for work.

I stopped buying Meermin because they are so narrow. I have been happy with all my Spier shoes.

I have black lace up oxfords and I really like them. They present great as a formal/high quality suit shoe and the rubber soles make them comfy to wear.
