It's one of my favorite things, I practically slept it last year, but yes it's a pill monster if you wear it more than a few days a week for a season.
Pill monster would be a deal breaker for me, no matter its other virtues
One of our reviewers recently reviewed the Malloch's Seaweed Newman Roll Neck Jumper. Check out his thoughts on this modern contemporary version of the British submariner jumper here.

If you are a size 36R - I can sell you one, new with tags now, no need to waitSo I pre-ordered the wax touring jacket a week or so ago and the product page said expecting ship out date was around... today, give or take a day. I just checked the product page and it now says December 10-12.
Does anyone know if I managed to order on a first round and it will ship any minute now, or is the December date the new figure?
I just recently posted in HOF wearing this sport coat:Does anyone have real-life pictures of this year's iteration of this sport coat ?

It would be amazing if you could just go to the site and order things you want with regularity. Instead you miss out and are toast for at least a year if not more.Welp, wasn’t planning on it but there was only 1 Burgundy Herringbone Overcoat left in 38 when last I checked there was 3. Had to pull the trigger.
Hoping it gives off a brownish hue like described
Question for the group: when ordering a custom jacket on the site, is it possible to indicate bicep width and sleeve opening? I can’t remember if that was an option at one point.
I recently looked at this and you can't indicate those measurements. Maybe if you write a note in the Notes section. If it helps, you can look at Suitsupply, there you can input both
Hi there, can anyone confirm if the Emerald Label pieces are cut differently from the standard pieces? I ended up buying a regular tuxedo in the contemporary fit as a temporary tuxedo until I got something nicer, however by the next month the “emerald label” tuxedo in barathea was released , so I purchased it as well, and was extremely pleased , I noticed that compared to the first tuxedo , the emerald label garment was not only of a much higher quality, and draped much better , but also a much more generous fit (in the same size and fit) and the jacket is even a 3/4 to a full inch longer, which makes it look more aesthetically pleasing and conservative. I was so pleased with the emerald label tuxedo that I have decided to make it my permanent black tie ensemble .
The reason I ask is because yesterday in the Black Friday sale , I purchased the navy hopsack , double breasted blazer with brass buttons. It’s marked as “emerald label” as well , and I am hoping that it too is slightly longer and more generous than their standard contemporary pieces .
Thanks for any feedback !
It is pretty good. I own this one and I love itHow is the quality of their sweatshirts? Looking at this one
Thanks for your response. I was unaware that each garment being different with Spier . I guess I just got lucky with the nicer emerald label barathea tux being the one that is more generous AND had a slightly longer jacket. That 3/4 to 1 inch of additional length in the jacket really made a whole lot of difference in making the piece look more mature and less trendy. I do hope the navy hopsack blazer I ordered is the same .I think what you're experiencing is the variance from piece to piece that occurs for Spier. 44R is the right size for me, but it's always a crap shoot as to whether my tailor will have to give me a little extra room at the waist or if it will be perfect just as it comes.
I had the opposite experience with tuxes. Last year I purchased both the Dino Filarte and then the Val Biella tuxes and the Val Biella had less room to it than the Dino Filarte. I agree it is a nicer cloth and drapes better, and I liked the details like the ventless design and full canvas so I kept the nicer one.
