That actually depends. Do you want more waterproofing and easier fixing, or lighter weight and profile? Blake stitching is a compromise because it's harder to resole but still doable but results in a lower profile sole. I know people that prefer both types just depends what they are looking for
Good to know. Appreciate the feedback.

I see lots of new suit/sportcoat additions to the site. But I think it's just too much flannel and tweed every FW season. Would like to see Spier invest in more high-twist or striped patterns for suits instead of the same flannel and tweed each year. If not RTW, at least in MTM. While obviously on different quality levels, this is where Cavour or SuitSupply win every time in selection. I prefer Spier's cuts on everything, but the fabric selection needs to expand beyond Filarte solids, flannels, and tweeds. There isn't a single non-flannel navy striped fabric available MTM.

I see your point here. But they do have core suits in different colors added every time, yes not the well known mills however. There was some high twist offering this summer. Personally, I really like the uniqueness of these FW offerings so far (Fox, Moon, ME, VBC), because not possible to get elsewhere unless paying a premium (by going to my local tailor). Let's see what else coming up, it is still too early.

I remember us discussing this fabric last winter asking if they can bring it to RTW, and I am very glad they did.

I know the RTW has this as full canvas, but does anybody have any thoughts on whether it’s worth it to get full canvas for this jacket on an MTO?

Why do it MTO? Are you a weird size? The obvious advantage of RTW is that you can return it.

Would anyone happen to have real life pictures of a jacket in either of these fabrics from S&M? The jacket photo is Marling & Evans and the swatch is Abraham Moon.

I am about to order special order a S&M jacket made of 520076 from the Worsted Alsport II bunch but just spotted these other two fabrics available via custom on their website. They're all the same weight but ordering one all ready on their site would save me $300. Anyone have any thoughts on the best choice?

I was also waiting for these but assumed there was low chance of the coming back - to my recollection they were only available for one season (and that was a couple of years back)?
