The fit is what most fashion brands would call slim-straight or slim-with some taper. I have the two-year wash in 31 contemporary from the first batch (picture below) and I quite like the fit.

I just wish the fabric was a bit heavier, the area along the zipper looks like it won't hold for a lot longer.
I also tried the high rise in off-white but the fit was too slim for my taste. The fabric was better than the two- year wash. I think the first batch was less than 12 oz. compared to the stated 12 oz. of the more recent batches and that's why it feels a bit lightweight.

This might've made the case for trying the contemporary! The wash looks like exactly what I'm after. Appreciate the quick and details response mate.

Will the ivy oxfords and button down flannels be returning this fall?
Would also be interested to know this. My dream is solid color flannels but either way I'll take any colors/patterns if they come with a single chest pocket and a button down collar.

Is it acceptable to wear pleated, high waist side-tab pants in a business casual environment? Particularly the kind with no belt loops like the SM high waisted line (pic 1). I really like the classic silhouette of these type of pants. However, jackets are not often worn in the office and I fear these would look off without a jacket. Do I risk looking goofy? I would wear them with a standard button up, oxford cloth or something with a semi-spread collar. If this isn’t acceptable, would that still be the case if belt loops were included, like some of the Berle pants (pic 2)?

I don't think you'd look goofy. My guess is few, if any, people in your office would even notice. Unless you have very style savvy workmates no one will notice the the lack of belt loops/side tabs; if you do have style conscious coworkers then they likely just ask where you got them. Don't overthink it.

Nah, you'll probably be fine. I personally like wearing knits with pants like these, though. I like the effect of the pleats peeking through, and not having a belt makes for an unfussy silhouette. Looser shirts other than the typical slim OCBD business casual also tend to look a little more thoughtful.

Can anyone who has previously purchased a Shetland sweater from S&M (brushed, regular, and/or cable knit) share their thoughts on how they are liking it?

I have one brushed and one regular from last season and I adore them. The regular isn't scratchy to me and the fit is great over a plain under shirt, plus I don't find myself sweating much (and I run hot). Can't wait to buy a couple more colors this year honestly.

Curious how you sized vs your shirt/suit size
