Want to share a fun experiment :) So my VBC high twist trouser survived a cold wash cycle, hanging dry then ironing (dry cleaning is not cost friendly with a toddler at home so gave it a shot). This was the same for the light weight high rise cotton trouser from last summer (washed twice). I did not notice a shrinkage, but I will take measurement next time :)

Is it possible to ask for Neo 3 MTO right now by using the notes?
Not quite yet! Once we do implement it in our MTO program, you'll be able to request it then.

Hey @SpierTeam,
As I am sitting here seeing on my spare MOP button as one went missing, I care to wonder what ever happened to the button machine that added a plastic wrap around the button threads to make it more secure?
Depends when you would have purchased that item or what season it came from. All of our newer shirts do come with that now!

While this may have turned out to be a good experience for you, we would recommend not washing wool or cotton dress trousers in any type of wash cycle! These garment care instructions are also noted on the product page as well.

This shirt in question was from a past season I believe, but I didn’t quite see it on my purple label linen shirt from this season. Is there a way to tell from looking?

Hi! I heard from Rick that the Mock Leno from Minnis will hopefully be restocked this month, any idea when?
Still on track for this month to be added to our MTO page! Once we receive it, it will then take about a week to have the stock properly updated on our website.

I was tempted by the sale on the Garment Dyed Cotton Sport Coats, and bought a "suit" in Khaki and Olive to check them out. I'm thinking I might keep one of the sport coats, but am really on the fence about the pants. The regular rise in Spier's contemporary pants is pretty disappointing these days. I tried on a pair of fatigues in Abercrombie (of all places) recently and those list a 12.5" rise for a size 32 (which is probably a size 36 since I'm a 38 and their 34 fit quite nicely), vs the 10.9" rise for a Spier 36. The 11.1" rise for a size 38 is just not high enough. @SpierTeam you should consider using the high rise model's rise with a flat front for the regular rise and make a true high rise trouser. I think it would be popular.

For anyone more knowledgeable about cotton tailoring, is the the visible stitching from the original seam when letting something out a problem from the start or only after wearing it for some time?

Additionally, for a relaxed garment like an unstructured cotton sport coat it seems like the sizing should have been a little more generous. My $0.02 anyway. I would have gone for the relaxed fit in the Sondrio cotton-linen, as I've been very curious to try that out, but I'm not sure I want jetted pockets on a casual suit. In my opinion, this is the one time where patch pockets are almost a requirement!

I also took the opportunity to check out the new grenadine ties. I may keep one of the banded square tipped ones, but am on the whole, not impressed. The whites come off as weirdly bright and shiny, due to the mixing in of black with the whites. And even the navy/red/green one has an odd sheen to it. Additionally, although I like the more open knit in theory, these ones are perhaps too insubstantial and hang poorly as a result... it feels a bit like having a ribbon hanging from my neck instead of a tie. My square tipped knit tie from Kent Wang was not much more expensive but feels more substantial in the body and looks better as a result.

I'll try to post some pics this week, just been busy with end of summer/back to school.

Has anyone else been getting security certificate warnings when going to the SM website? I have had a few over the last few weeks and again right now. Tried multiple browsers.

Hey! Do you mind sending over a screenshot of this to our customer service team ([email protected]) so we can look into this further?
