Simon Crompton is not a tailor just like a car salesman is not manufacturing automotilesICYMI Simon just did a write-up on tweed bunches and I thought I'd leave a link because it relates to some recent palaver here.
The topic was tailor finds Harris tweed difficult to work with.Bespoke isn't always a pinnacle of tailoring. I've seen a lot of bespoke that looks unamusing and I personally prefer MTM. Cost & quality is much better
The topic is in S&M thread, it's not a bespoke tailors, it's RTW\MTM in a factory in China. The topic was tailor finds Harris tweed difficult to work with.
Find one who can work with HT. Awesome fabric.
If you guys want to talk about factories, made to measure or bespoke you can but let’s get back to this topic.
We are all saying what we know! No escalation all adults sharing their opinion.
Ricky Khanna and Simon Crompton are not tailors
What did you find toxic ? Harris tweed? Or a tailor finding Harris tweed hard to work with in question? The topic is in S&M thread, it's not a bespoke tailors, it's RTW\MTM in a factory in China.
P.S. You really come around pretty aggressively. Just move on instead of being toxic towards other forum members
My post didn't have anything to do with your comments. I thought it might be helpful to those of us who aren't tweed experts. If you don't find it helpful that's fine but I see no point to your reply but rudeness.Simon Crompton is not a tailor just like a car salesman is not manufacturing automotiles
I don’t drink!! And yes you Mr savage are still legit!!I like J, on the whole, but it 100% read as some dude getting liquored up at a bar and jonesing to fight a rando
Never tried the trousers like that but might be too delicate and might bag a lot. Trousers need a bit of heaviness for it to drape nicely.Never had a wool/cashmere pants. How is that material? Any downsides? Any experience with these trousers?
I have 360gm VBC flannel and they are nice. They also drape well! My corduroy trousers do not drape at all!Never tried the trousers like that but might be too delicate and might bag a lot. Trousers need a bit of heaviness for it to drape nicely.
Don't you find it tiring to constantly nag and jab a vendor in their affiliate thread given, among other reasons, they do not care to engage with you (or anyone to be fair) but also, because you appear to be a current customer?I have 360gm VBC flannel and they are nice. These have a bit of cashmere so should wear warmer. The weight is not disclosed 500 pages already on that topic ( it’s top secret ) but should be around the mid 300 gms I assume .
Do it!
And then return it if you don’t like them!
Spier has excellent return policy!!
