Yes, they told me the same that they don't list fabric weight anymore.
But they had an Ulster in that same fabric a year ago and it's weight is 670 gr/sqm
Yeah, I think that is pretty well-established based on 'clues' such as the last year's ulster you mention and the weights listed on their MTM section.

Still, it is less about the individual coat and more that I'm a little uncomfortable with the the practice of not giving out fabric weights, which Spier presumably ~does~ know, upon request.

You're not the only one put off by it- it's a running joke in this thread.

It was quite different from the toronto store days when Tim, Amit and John were working. Night and day by contrast!

Not sure if you are local and did visit the downtown store that was before Covid days?

I am local and did visit the DT store prior to covid. While the DT employees were good, I prefer to deal with Mike and Brandon in the Mississauga store. Unfortunately, Mike is no longer with the company and Brandon is not on the sales floor anymore.

Are you talking about items that are included in the sale, or trying to use it on items that are excluded?
This, for example should be another 20% at checkout, but ringing at $134 in bag.

I used to have a few Spier & Mackay dress shirts, but I found the cuffs to be much tighter around my wrists than my CT shirts, to the point where my dress watches could barely fit under the cuff and it would often get caught up on it.

Has anybody else experienced this with their shirts? Or has anything changed? I did like the fabrics and the quality for the price point, but the cuffs were so bad that I had to stop wearing the ones I have. I would be open to trying them again

So no one now is at the store that knows what they were doing... the store was a pig stein when i walked in and out! Spier's business is online so i guess the store front is not of much significance! The sales are all that matters and the made to measure unless your size is dialed in I would also not chance it now! Whatever i buy from them is online sweaters, polos and for my made to measure it comes straight from a chinese factory i deal directly with now.

Yes, their cuffs are a bit too small. I just moved a button on my left wrist to accommodate my watches, that solved the problem

I mean, I don't think they ever went below 30% off for black friday or for any major holiday.
I think the main point is now they don’t offer the discounts on current season stuff, and only past season items that are already picked through.

I understand from a business perspective, if stuff is selling well why discount it, but they have these sales on past season items almost once or twice a month with the same discount.
