Is SM ditching the extra slim fit for RTW shirts, or is it just a seasonal thing?
Unfortunately this is a continuation of a trend. I think I have purchased most if not all of the SS23 extra slim sport shirts offered. I know they sell well as I have to be quick to get them in my cart.

It is possible that the manufacturer didn't want to make up so few or Rick thought slim would work for most people. What ever the reason it stinks for me.

I am looking at Proper Cloth and Stantt as possible resources. I know the manufacturer of Proper Cloth shirts so if I have a problem I can contract someone.

Huge bummer. There are so many shirts I would love to purchase but just cant. Don't know any reasonably priced alternatives with a similar level of quality and classic design. Charles Tyrwhitt is the only one that comes to mind, but I haven't heard great things and I honestly prefer Spier's designs and attention to detail.

Anyone able to get ahold of S&M to ask? I've never had luck.

IG seems to be the way to contact Rick

I love the ESF fit for casual shirts and it’s essential to get a ‘normal’ fit in dress shirts since I have the body of a 15.5” neck with an actual 16” neck.

Has anyone tried the new paper chinos? The summer chinos from last year were a bust, IMO, due to the heavy wrinkling.

Not even 24 hours, and the Ivy Oxfords are close to sold out.

You'd think S&M would realise we want more of these right?

If you mean compared to this year model, then S&M high-rise fit hasn't changed for quite some time, AFAIK. Material is 100% cotton for both. This year fabric code is different, but the color looks very similar.
Hope this helps.
Assessing the size chart, looks like the rise has increased by a tiny margin?

Same. ESF 16 works very well for me in sport and dress shirts. With shrinkage the 35.5 sleeve is just enough for my long arms.

If anybody is on the fence about the S-22 jackets that are on sale right now, I picked up the green FW22 model last year and it's great.
I got this year's model. I like it, but I wish it was shorter. I pretty much have to wear thicker layers underneath so it doesn't look odd. The jacket was surprisingly thin, so it's more of a style piece than a utility piece, but it does have its place. However, I don't know how this compares to the previous model and I'd be interested in seeing.

However, the style, fabric, and construction is great. With all 9 pockets, I feel like I'm wearing a backpack.

Hello all - has anyone reached out to @spiermackay @SpierTeam yet and received clarification regarding the “Extra Slim Fit” shirts? If not, would someone be so kind to ask Rick via insta and report back? I recently deleted my Instagram, otherwise would gladly do so.

This is quite distressing news. Part of me wonders if the naming conventions are simply changing….? Thanks kindly. Longtime lurker and SM customer here. Made an account just for this.
