Wanted versatility so I recently purchased the dark navy peacoat - zanieri. Any idea if this will get me through 20-30 degree F weather? I start sweating when I pull out the Canada Goose and quite frankly, it doesn't look too good with tailored clothing...

Does anyone have an idea of how warm the new flight jackets are? Looking for a casual jacket to get me from about 50 down to 30 F, with layers a little below.
It depends where you live and how cold you’re used to. I live on East Coast of Canada and I have the Moon afield Jacket. Keeps me easily warm in that type of weather, albeit with some gloves and a cap. If you’re used to warmer weather, maybe not.

I wear mine down to -20C, or possibly colder, and it keeps me warm with a couple layers underneath. Very heavy and thick tweed. Depends on wind chill. If it’s cold and windy, I’m probably going to opt for the Parka or my Harris Tweed Balmacaan

For a note on the BF deals and people noting lack of sales. At the end of the day they are a business.
I was kind of disappointed in the sale this year, mostly due to 2 years ago being 20% off everything I believe, last year being 20% off everything with few exclusions, and this year being up to 20% off with many exclusions.

This wraps up to, like I said, being a business and the hit they’ve taken in the previous year. Also the fact of stock coming in late and the rise of shipping costs needing to be covered.

Even though I hoped for a bit more, doesn’t matter. If I want the stuff before it sells out in my size I’m going to buy it regardless of sale, as their prices are already exceptional. It is just a matter of habit that if you are going to buy something anyways, may as well save a couple bucks if you can.
Also shows that a lot of their stuff must be selling well to be excluded, so it’s a no brainer to keep it excluded. It also keeps Rick, and Spier & Mackay, around as a whole, which we would all agree we want them to stay around as long as possible!

Happy Holidays.
Very happy to have picked up a Moss Green Fox Air suit for this sale.
Generally, I'm picking up new drops in my size for full price before they sell out.
Getting something on sale or discovering a re-stock has been great - but my closet can only handle so much!

Thanks, that is helpful, I am in Philadelphia. Used to cold and am fine with layering appropriately

Fox Air suits are fantastic. Recommend getting the tobacco suit if your size is still available, complete steal at the discounted price IMO. Apologies if I’m being an enabler.

Ah, that was my alternative but I don't think it was quilt lined, is yours?

correct. The ring jacket one I have I unlined. It could very well be that the Spier one is warmer (the fabric at least looks a tad bit warmer) but especially when it gets windy it doesn’t offer much.

It looks great!
A slim is still available, but I've been favoring the contemporary fits - especially for pants.
I also have a few similar pieces in shades of brown and olive-brown.
Missed out on the cotton green suit a while ago and have been looking at the Moss Green Fox.

+1 to being a bit surprised at the 20% off sale. With that promo the last few weeks I thought there might be something more. Ah well. I picked up a few pairs of pants as my first S&M purchase. I think the slim fit will be OK based on measurements, but I got a couple pairs of contemporary fit too. Only one pair was final sale, so if they end up not fitting it's not so bad. I've seen a lot of good things here, so I'm hoping the pants work out well.

Would love to see more Fox Air suits (ideally with jetted pockets) in more sober colors, or maybe the patterned options on offer.

Isn't enabling why we're here?
My S&M items I've worn the most are the ones I've bought at full price.

I'm sure there's a correlation between me actually reaaally wanting to wear something, vs. FOMO influenced and shiny sale items.
I agree on the mindset typically, though, I will say, the Navy Mohair Minnis and Grey Fresco (SS19 maybe?) were ******* fantastic sale swipes...a nice complement to the grey and navy ones I bought at full price.

Fair point.
I’m with you on the Fox Air offerings…I’d love to see some sober colors as well as some patterns (like a nice subtle glen check) come to MTO level pricing without having to specifically have the cloth sourced.

Oh I'm not going to pretend like I haven't enjoyed my sale purchases, I don't regret mine.
