How much do the jackets go for usually? I'm used to paying $200-250 for SuitSupply when they have their semi annual.
There's some already going for 200CAD right now, with 25% off 150 CAD.
That's about 100 USD. Seems like a steal to me.

The assertion that factories in China or abroad in general have less quality control than American or Italian factories is more myth than fact. Some factories in China are truly “premier”, and comparable to some of the more reputable factories making men’s clothing. You get what you pay for.
I agree.
There is a Chinese owned (Fuyua) auto glass factory in my American city. They have not been able to achieve the production and quality standards of the company’s Chinese factories.
Unless we wake up soon, America will not be the economic leader we have been since WW2.

I'm assuming this strip of fabric is to help the trouser slip on easier/not ride up? Even my Luxire trousers don't have this. Anyways, it's the first time I've seen this on a pair of trousers.
That looks like a gripper applied to the curtain. Helps keeps shirt tucked in. They are usually made of a rubbery material but velvet is sometimes used.

I should have added more context to the post, sorry. Those are on the inside of the cuff.

I should have looked closer. I thought it was pretty wide and high for a curtain gripper.
Is this only partially applied? On the front only? I Think it to protect the fabric from wearing from rubbing against your shoe if it is only the front half of the hem.

sizing chart pretty much says it all. You’ll find that the slim has a light taper starting at the thigh and running all the way to the hem. It’s not a very slim fit like some brand out there, more of a “tailored” look that works well unless you’re on the heavier side or particularly athletic with bigger thighs and calves, in which case I’d recommend contemporary.
And contemporary has a higher rise, I believe?

Slightly. Unless it’s noted as a high rise, most trousers from Spier fall squarely in the mid-rise category, and the difference between contemp and slim isn’t huge.

It's to add a bit of extra weight to the pant legs to help them drape better. Every time I've seen this on pants, it goes all the way around the inside of the hem.

It is on the front hem, so I believe so.

Anyone compared the quality of S&M merino wool sweaters to H&M's? S&M need to be meaningfully better for me to swallow the import charges and duties.

I was hoping for a take on the construction quality and yarn. S&M seems to have a slightly higher collar. They both seem to have a similar yarn and weave judging from the pictures (which si difficult) and are both merino wool, but I haven't actually tried on S&M, hence my question. To illustrate, the S&M would cost me closer to $90 versus $45 for H&M.

Not sure if this was posted already but I got their promo today and Spier is doing 25% off all sale items this weekend!
Some sale suits are already like 200USD/300CAD. And after 25% off you're getting it for like $150.
Use Code: Sale25
No suits are 200 in most sizes
