Super nice. I already have the tobacco linen/wool herringbone from a few seasons ago otherwise I'd be super interested in this.

Waiting on the cigar linen anxiously
is this office appropriate or not?

For those of you with the tobacco fresco suit from SS18, will you also be grabbing this years tobacco linen suit? The shades are not quite the same. Any thoughts?
As one who has the fresco, I probably will put my money elsewhere this SS - specifically the neo fresco navy and grey suits.

But, I also tend to not have many settings to wear informal 100% linen jackets. My work tends towards formality.

But I thought he also said the "cigar" linen would be a sport coat only. The tobacco is the suit.
To be honest, I always thought the cigar was going to be a suit.

All I wanted when we were talking about SS19 before winter even started was a tobacco/cigar and forest/emerald green suit in a linen-esque material. The talk started off as tobacco, then Rick started talking about cigar instead.

I won't be getting both a cigar and tobacco, so it's one or the other. I need to take into account a Craftsman linen safari jacket I'm about to pull the trigger on (unless Rick also has that surprise, but I doubt it).

I might be wrong but I seriously doubt that they will be a cigar suit and a tobacco jacket.

Cigar and tobacco are kind of the same color. After all, cigars are made of tobacco.

Cigar is more yellow. Think of the dried out leaf of a cigar wrapper. Tobacco is the darker tobacco leaf inside that you smoke.

Rick,

Could you please settle the confusion.

From what I understand there will be (i) a cigar (more yellow) linen suit and (ii) a tobacco (darker ) sportcoat.

Am I right?

The pic on IG yesterday was the tobacco linen Suit. It's a full suit with cloth from Huddersfield/Minnis. This is in the Neapolitan cut with high rise trousers.

Then later in the season we'll have separates in the Cigar. Normal Sportcoat and Normal Trousers.

@spiermackay Can you share any details about the Fresco suits?

They are made of Fresco. hahahah. Evil. They will be up for pre-order next week. Then all will be revealed. But you guys are smart. I'm sure you can extrapolate based on the past.

Would love to see the Cigar when it's available to compare with the Tobacco. Definitely can't see me wearing it as a full suit, but as an odd jacket....oh hell yea.

So dumb question...what is going to be lighter in the summer months (as someone who walks everywhere...I live in downtown Toronto) - the solaro or linen?
