Whites, blues, purple are fine. But agree something such as yellow is terrible on our skin.
I have two green shirts that I feel work quite well on me. The shade makes the difference.
I don't think he was being rude. His advice was solid. Dark navy, black, and other dark "dress shirts". Come off as being pretty douchey to me. I see them on guys wearing gaudy ferragamo belt buckles and a lot of gold jewelry.
Thanks for the code S+M. Picked up another 4 shirts, a belt, and a handful of ties. I really appreciate all the recent sales and codes.

Blue...lots of blues! After this order I will have mid blue suit, textured blue suit, navy suit. Heck even my tuxedo is navy.
I ordered this: http://www.spierandmackay.com/product_information/3469_blue_pin_dobby_texture in hopes of making my eyes pop more.
Some red, purples, white, light green would all be good.
Dark really is going to make you look more pale/twilightish...I wore a grey suit with a black shirt once, everything below my neck looked amazing, but everyone asked me if I was sick
Wearing gold jewelry isn't gaudy, especially if you're Asian.
I'm looking to buy my first S&M shirts. I'm usually a 15/33 in CT Extra Slim Fit. When I look at the respective size charts, the measurement for those shirts seems to correlate better with a 14.5 Slim Fit in S&M.
Should I stick with the 15 in S&M or size down to a 14.5?
First question would be, do you do up your collar or not
Then depends on how tight CT is on you, only a 1" difference in waist, chest you get a bit more room. Sizing down you lose 1" on waist and 1/2" on shoulders, which is pretty drastic and might have it sitting oddly on your frame. However shortening sleeves could be a pain/pricey
You pretty much need to try them on in both sizes and see as CT doesn't have shoulder measurements, then factor in tailoring cost.
Also the %20 off does apply to their MTM line if I remember, might be a better option.
In for 3 otr shirts. First order w you guys
I actually called the ferragamo belts gaudy. And the key words were "a lot" referring to the gold jewelry. I don't really see how race has anything to do with it, but I've never been Asian. Maybe there's something I don't know.
Yellow and rose gold are the precious metals that Asians tend to wear. They prefer those two over anything else.
What do you mean by this?
Top button of your shirt, do you do it up.
If you do then you can't size down as it won't even do up so you can't wear a tie with it.
ah, got it. I wear a tie most days to work.
I guess I was wrong in regards to what colours work for me! Thanks for the in-depth answer!
