Navy isn't boring, it's a basic. As for a second colour, I'd suggest brown over grey.

Rebuilding or starting a wardrobe should have some planning behind it. Know what your budget is for the next year or so. If you can start right, think about seasonality - warm and cold weather.

Just a couple lessons I've learned.
Appreciate the help. Might consider the brown herringbone, donegal or something similar to those as my first brown venture.

What do guys that have bought these tend to want to pair with it? Asking for a friend, ha.

Start basic. Mid grey wool, khakis, pale blue and white shirts, simple textures. Lock that down first.

Makes sense. So the grey donegal trousers with the brown donegal jacket may be too much of a good thing as far as texture? Go with something more of a basic grey wool? I have plenty of that.

Thanks for helping. I am making quite solid progress over the last year or so.

That was fast, thanks Spier team!

Dunno when I’ll be able to open it though :(

There was a discussion a while back about sweatshirt sizing. I suggested that as a 42L, I would size up to an XXL. My XXL hoodie came today.

I’m sure I could go down to an XL, but I wouldn’t prefer it. I definitely wouldn’t go larger than XXL. I hit my target.

you're a 42L and XXL for the hoodie :( that makes me concerned with my XXL LS polo order being 46R.

I wouldn’t draw too many conclusions across product lines. The LS polo sizing is confounding to me. I would want the shoulders of the L, the chest of the XL (or at least between the L and XL), and an arm length longer than the XXL. If I had to wear SM’s LS polos, I would pick the XL and push the sleeves up my forearm.
