That's what I'm wearing today. V3.

That's what I thought, but seeing as it was a "sale" item a couple months ago I didn't know if it was an older version or not.

Looks good though. I liked it when I wore it to a wedding in August. I get some of the shoulder divots at random times, and then other times the shoulder looks normal. I usually just tug on the sleeve a little to get it to pop out.

Quick post on easy service since we often ***** when something goes awry (particularly related to what’s in stock).

Ordered three shirts, even had an issue with the bundle code, and it was immediately dealt with and shirts shipped the next day. Got it in the mail 3 days later.

That’s all. Quick, easy, and problem free.

To confirm: the S&M Contemporary is similar to the SS Lazio/Havana?

I'm excited to finally try an S&M suit.

Looks like I should also avoid the S&M Navy Solid suit (given the chest pocket problem
@NoNameNecessary had).

Hello everyone. Just received my Guabello S130 charcoal suit today. Love the fabric. Need your advice on the fitting so I can decide if I need to return or if this can be reasonably fixed somehow. Front drapes okay - a little pull at the chest lapel. Back is another story. Collar roll can be cheaply fixed and almost anticipated with all of my suits. The lower back however is of concern to me. Not sure if it is the pull from my wide shoulder/chest/arm. I ordered a size 40S. 42 always leaves the waist super wide for me. Thoughts and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Reupping this question: I can add a note to take belt loops off trousers for a fee, but is it at all possible to order a 2-button sports jacket and have it changed to a 3-roll-2?

We won't try to change a 2 button to 3r2. The canvas inside is also cut differently.

If you want the look you can try with a local tailor after purchase.

Re: crewneck sweatshirts
Would the consensus be to buy the same size as merino sweaters from last year?

I thought the sizing worked well with the merino sweaters, my only (minor) gripe being that the length could have been 0.5-1" longer.

Usually shoulder divots are caused not by the shoulder themselves but tightness across the back - re-positioning your shoulders (shrugging) might provide enough slack for the sleevehead to lay naturally, until you start moving around again.

Try letting the back out from the center seam a bit and see if that alleviates it. In my experience this has always resolved divots

I also got minor divots on the first few S&M suits that I bought. After having the back let out from the center seam, this immediately fixed the problem for me. N=3. I think this is because I lie somewhere in between a slim and contemporary. My chest would probably fit closer to contemporary and the waist would probably fit better with a slim. However, I think the length of the slim works better for me so I will probably continue buying slim and foot the cost of having the center seam taken out as I move forward. Additionally, the slim trousers work better for me as well.

However, divots can be a multifactorial problem in my experience. One easy fix that someone else also alluded to was just having the jacket on for a few hours/few wears to allow the jacket to conform to your body's shape. A little bit of steam may help with the heavier fabrics. It is always worth chatting to your tailor to look for other potential diagnoses.

Suit and shirt SM, shirt is linen. Did I mention I’m glad I wound up keeping this suit instead of selling it?

Also i want to note re the “what shoes” argument a while back, I took heat on the WAYWRN thread for these choc suede shoes that I wore as an experiment to see if there was a good alternative to black. They told me to wear black shoes.

Black shoes with the tobacco suit folks.

I saw the argument a while back on this. While I dont particularly like brown and black, I think the black shoes look fine. But as someone who wears almost no black (and subsequently owns no black), If you wear black shoes, don’t you lock yourself into a black tie?

(And that conundrum highlights why I don’t love black as a color for dressing with ...usually black is the best option to go with black.)

I don’t think so. I think black shoes would look fine with the blue shirt blue tie I was wearing.
