I washed my cotton-linen trousers, hung to dry. Tough to get all the wrinkles out. Iron and steamer got most of them.

Yep. Cold wash, hang dry. No issues.

Flap. There's no wearing a chalkstripe as a sport coat imo

Just do flaps, people can tuck it in for the jetted look. That's what I do when I want that more streamlined look and no one can tell the difference.
