And we plan on getting better!
Do you have short sleeve shirts available in store? I don't see any online?
Unfortunately not OTR this season. We an custom make them though.
I suppose I'll wait before I purchase #3 then.
That's just a general statement. We always look for areas of improvement. Be it fabrics or cut or finishing.
After having seen the new blazers in store last week, I say that I love them all and if I had the money I would buy most of them.
The Hopsack Navy and Light Brown Herringbone look quite similar to their appearance on the website.
The mid brown herringbone has somewhat of a golden tinge to it, which I really like, btw.
The Light Blue Tex Weave is VERY light blue and compared to the website it looked close to a very light grey with a tinge of blue. Still, I think it would go with for people with very mild complexions.
In the mid blue herringbone, the contrast between the vertical channels is very minimal and it looks very elegant and classy overall. At first I thought this one would not suit me, but after wearing it, I really like it.
The Light Grey Price of Wales look just like it does on the website.
Madras just in...
Nice and gauzy feeling fabric, very comfortable, bit slimmer fitting than my other OTR 15 Slim. Perfect for a casual fit.
Picked up 3 of them, these will wear cool in the heat, sadly its cold and shitty here today. 2nd pic more true colour representation, website shots are more accurate on real colour.
Madras is one of my personal favorite casual fabrics. Just so comfortable. These have been pre-washed, so the fabric tightened up a bit. But after wearing, the weave will relax and wear a tad looser than out of the package. Those pics are high contrast!
Any update on the RTW madras?
Fit is great, no complaints!
iphone pics in todays lighting not working out...
We've had some customers ask what is a back leaning shoulder seam and what is the significance of it.
As you can see from the pic below, the shoulder seam slants towards the back of the jacket instead of running along the top of the shoulder. This allows the fabric to drape a bit cleaner off the back of the shoulder and down around the armhole. Secondly, it hides the seam when someone is looking at you straight on for a cleaner look. We feature this construction on all our OTR Model 2 suits as well as Custom Suits. It's more difficult to execute, but we think it's worth it.
Madras OTR is up.
Copped these two (had to get the @CanadaCal color) and the solid blue linen, looking forward to seeing if the OTR 16 Slim works for me. Hearing they shrunk a bit has me worried about the sleeve length but we shall see.
If I have to go back to the MTM shirts I am for sure grabbing a bundle including the new chambray if it's still around after these shirts arrive.
