Going to NYC in mid November.

My wardrobe is lacking clothes for the 40-50 degree weather.

I bought these two merino sweaters from Brooks Brothers to wear during the day:

1000

1000

For the evenings, I bought these two:

1000

1000

I was trying to achieve these looks:

1000

1000

1000

My question is: will this be enough to keep me warm?

I also bought a bunch of cashmere beanies and scarfs (not from BB though).

Thanks!

To achieve that look, you will probably have to spend 1k in hair gel.

Can you give me some pointers?

Will I need a coat even if I layer up? As in a icebreaker merino baselayer + dress shirt + sweater + beanie & scarf?

Were you thinking about something like this when you said I would need a coat?

1000

Thanks for your help.

You will also need to work on your longing gaze.

You spent $1,000 on 4 Brook's Brothers sweaters? lol...

To answer your question, it depends on what you wear underneath the sweaters. 40-50 degrees isn't THAT cold. If you wear a hat and a few layers, you'll be fine. If you're going to be in cooler weather for a while, it probably won't hurt to invest in a jacket...never know when it will rain.

What kind of jacket VinnyMac?

And what's wrong with the sweaters? The only expensive one is this one, which was worth $400.

1000

The rest were decently priced at $100-$150.

Sidebar: why have the prices of BB sweaters jumped skyward so significantly this year? Bad year for wool? I don't think oil/transport prices jumped up that much...

You might be okay with all those layers but evenings in NYC in November can drop into the 30s. I would bring a jacket/coat.

I hope you bought those on some kind of sale.
