Has anyone heard of Spencer Brothers shoes?

I have a pair of very well made cap-toe oxfords that are all leather except for the rubber v-shaped portion of the heel and the canvas lining in the toe box. They are made in England. I have no idea how old they are, but they are in excellent shape. The leather also has very fine pores, as they shined up like mirrors after only a few coats of polish. The inside of the shoe appears to say "Spencer Brothers" with a shield emblem above the words. The emblem is a shield with "JS" inside it and a knight's helmet on top of the shield. Below the words is written "Made in England". All the lettering is gold and has nearly worn away, so I may have the company name wrong.

Any information about this company would be greatly appreciated.
