This is a fun pair of shoes, inspired by the past and the Museum of Northampton.

I got it as a "Special" from Alfred Sargent as part of another order of shoes (to come) [IMG]

Anyway, I honestly don't konw whether I can wear them, but they do fit well. Let's have at it.

Damn shame that three months have gone down and nobody commented on those. Here's a belated WOW. You'll be putting your feet up on your desk a lot I imagine.

I think they are gorgeous. I love the style and the subtle brown with the white ( cream?) The last is lovely too and the soles are great fun!

I don't know if I could wear them, but I'd love to own a pair like that[IMG]

Thank you both. I think that a lot of the WOW factor has to do with the quality of the photos.

I'm so bad at taking them and that really insults the workmanship that has gone into the shoes.

I'm going to have my photos taken by someone else in future.

    Thanks again

So, wanted to resurrect an old thread instead of create a new one.

Looking for some Spectators. I would rather not go the EG Malvern route, as EGs are a big out of my price range, especially for a summer shoe. I was thinking about either the Alfred Sargent Ellington:

    Or perhaps the Herring Hyde:

    Anybody have any other suggestions?

These were dirt cheap at USD67 and I wish I had bought them to resell but who knows about
    Fratelli Rossetti spectator two-tone shoes?

    [IMG] [IMG]

Those are actually pretty nice shoes, and happen to be the very pair I sold on eBay a couple of years ago when they brought just a tick under $180. The buyer evidentally decided he didn't want them anymore. Fratelli Rossetti issued two different spectators three years ago last spring. The other design is what you see in my avatar and that is the pair I decided to keep.

    Like these?

    Church's.

    Oh, they're not new.

When and with what outfits would you wear spectators?

I've been wearing them in different casual settings, with khakis and even denim on some occasions.
