    They appear to have a very shiny finish. A finish like that is generally impermeable to water. It doesn't seem to me the finish you'd look for on something meant to absorb moisture.

    Those definately aren't cedar, but it looks like a good deal. BTW, can someone tell me what "NR" means in Ebay auctions?
