Am I missing something, or have I insulted your girlfriend's lack of taste? You sound awfully bitter and it's a pretty ridiculous thing to get all upset over.

leggings are sexy as hell on a girl with a good body and they are not a passing trend . they have been quite popular for at least a couple years. i see them often paired with boots. sometimes it looks kind of 80s sometimes it looks more like 60s mod. it can look pretty damn good imo.

Spandex refers to a nylon/lycra blend fabric, so it's shiny. Leggings are typically a cotton/lycra blend, so it's a matte finish.

Men's running tights (and a lot of cycling gear) used to be made of nylon/lycra spandex but now most of them are a polyester/lycra blend which is in between shiny & matte.

Leggings, with a mini-skirt, CAN look hot as hell. What we're talking about in this thread are those tacky-ass black spandex-looking things.

Ha-- actually, my girlfriend doesn't own a single piece of spandex pants that I am aware of, but I hadn't even thought of that. I was thinking about the other asses I get a free peek at honestly...
