Southern SFers 100F: What do you wear?

When I look at designer's summer collections there are summer sweaters and linen suits. I'm just curious how many people wear such clothing in 100F+ weather? I mean I see these collections working in Cali....Seattle....NY....but Texas? C'mon!

How are you all staying with the SF ways in the southern hotter than hell states?

polo and khakis or button down shirt with sleeves rolled up

lots and lots of air conditioning....and no jacket. its hot. and it rains every day...which makes it hotter!

Polos, button-downs, chino linos in various colors, and seersucker trousers thrown in every once in a while (it's the South, after all). On the rare occasions when I have to wear I suit, I opt for something in cotton or tropical weight wool and stay near the air conditioner.

before anyone says another word...Floridians DO do this. Its the breath of angels.

Beyond this, anyone who lifts weights or has any hamstrings to speak of, basically has to as well.

Everyday: Linen or seersucker trousers, chambray button up if I can get away with it, or chinos and a polo.

Dressed: Linen or cotton suit if I can get away with it, or an half-line tropical weight wool or wool/silk blend in suits or coats.

My trick is keeping an extra shirt handy to change mid-day if I need to.

Gray dress pants, light lavender shirt with purple tie and a RLPL cotton/linen/wool blazer...in houston today...97F.

So my guess is those summer light weight wool suits with no/half lining doesn't really help fighting off the heat + humidity?

No undershirt and try to stay indoors

It's not muggy in CA but a week or two ago it hit 110. If I wore a suit it would be unlined seersucker.

i kind of disagree with the no undershirt thing even though i generally don't like to wear them.

I feel like i sweat less for some reason with one on, plus, it doesn't show through to the shirt.

also, particularly for the white shirts, they get absolutely filthy on the hotter days that i don't wear one.
