Southern California -- Divij Hemrajani vs Enzo Custom for my wedding suit?

I'm shopping for my wedding suit and would like a more traditional suit -- high waisted, wider legged, pleated trousers, a more traditional jacket. I initially tried SuitSupply but they really had a tough time figuring out how to do the wider, higher rise trousers within their MTM system. It really seemed like they were going to have to hack the measurements big-time (they were going to order trousers that are 6" larger than my size and then try to pull in the waist -- sounds like a disaster waiting to happen). So I decided to look elsewhere.

I've narrowed it down to Divij Hemrajani in Costa Mesa and Enzo Custom in Beverly Hills. They both seem to offer fully custom MTM two-piece suits around my price point.

My budget is around $1800 max, would love it if were less.

Anyone have opinions or experience with either or both of these places?

I think this is the deepest font for you to plumb. I think there are more Divij custies on StyFo, but I am on the wrong coast for this topic

Divij.
I would email him with your pricing concerns and ask before going, just so you clear everything away before heading to Costa Mesa.

I just got a suit made with Divij and had a terrible experience. Suit came out nothing like what I wanted and he wouldn’t even spend the time to walk through the fitting and correct issues. He just said it looks good, everything is good and I had to bring up issues with the pant length, sleeve length, too loose of a fit on the jacket and he just got very defensive. Was shocked at the customer service - will never buy a suit from here again.

I went with divij and had the same experience here. Would not recommend at all! He’s awful.

Mind expanding? I’m at the point where I’m considering asking for a refund because it’s been THAT BAD. I’m astonished that so many people have recommended him and I’ve had the worst tailoring, luxury experience to date and this is not my first suit. I’ve experienced a few tailoring houses.

Well for one, the initial meeting was pretty weird and he acted like he had never done a fitting before. Just very awkward. But then when I went back for my 2nd fitting he did not remember me at all and couldn’t figure out which suit was mine, despite me having made an appointment.

The suit came out pretty unlike what I asked for and didn’t fit well and he was very rude and extremely defensive about it when I brought it up at the fitting. To the point where I thought it might turn into a serious altercation…he even accused me of having put on 20 lbs in three weeks. He ultimately fixed the suit after a lot of resistance but the legs on the altered pants ended up different lengths and I had to get them re-altered elsewhere.

Not sure if people on here are doing online orders or are referring to his dad when they recommend him because I can’t imagine anyone recommending him in good faith.

Sorry to hear man and I just had pretty much the same exact experience. Sent a pretty firm email expressing my frustrations but after reading your experience maybe I should just get my suit back and move on. What a waste of time and money. His eyes are also always blood shot red, not sure what that is about.

I too can’t imagine why everyone has been recommending the guy. My dad’s in the suiting business and I ventured out to see what else was out there and made a huge mistake. New found appreciation for my dads business ha
