Sources for shantung and tussah ties other than Drakes?

I'm a bit in the dark here and would like to get a couple of new ties for the warm season. I like Drakes, but their ties in those materials are very narrow (7cm). I'll be in Turin, Milan and Rome next week so I'll pay a couple of visits to the usual suspects if I have to and if I have the time. But still, any recommendations, esp. for online retailers? Cheers.

1. Panta raw silk ties (plain colors for now I think)
2. Drakes MTO at the width you want
3. W.W. Chan MTO ties (made by MD)

Chan made to order ties? Never heard of them! Who is MD?

Drakes.

Chan carries Drakes ties with some patterns/colorways exclusive to Chan. All the ties are MTO (you can specify width and length)

Thanks. I'm waiting for the new Panta stock (Ed kindly sent me a discreet PM) and then I'll order a couple. I'm especially looking for solids.

Will's suitable wardrobe site has them. I'm wearing a 3.5" width tussah one now he sells and it is made by Drakes. It is 60" long vs. the narrower one which is 56" long.

I like the ones Rubinacci offers. Should be available in Milan and Rome.

R consistently has the biggest selection.

I offer Drakes in two sizes off the shelf vs. the 4-6 week wait for having them made to measure. There are two shantungs and two tussahs in stock currently. The shorter (56") ties are 3.25" wide.

I was in their little shop in Rome in December and they had maybe three or four RTW shantung ties. I guess it's a seasonal item.

We used to weave lots of different rough hand woven silks but then we started to shift to smoother handwoven silks with just a few slubs instead of many... These silks will have an interesting texture but if you are looking for a very rough silk will be too smooth most likely: http://www.samhober.com/thai-stripe-silk-ties/ Please let me know if you would like a swatch

I've never been to the Rome shop but Naples and London always have a ton. Naples actually has a huge, gigantic selection of ties of all kinds.
