I was wondering if anyone knew of a good source for tie clasps (and perhaps a manufacturer). I am looking for one that is practical and relatively inexpensive, yet stylish. Working in the medical field I am exposed to countless unpleasantries and would like to prevent my ties from dragging through them.

    Thanks in advance

Thrift stores for me have been a relatively plentiful source of tie clips.

And of course the source of all good things: ebay.

Paul stuart carries very thin ones in sterling and vermeil covered sterling. They must be around $20. They have an unadorned thin one and a shorter one with a serrated surface that's quite nice. They will be inoffensive to just about any observer.

Otherwise it's ebay and the minefield of picking a nice one.
