Sorry for the crotch shot - Do these look like junk?

Hi friends,

Hoping to get some views-

I’ve been on the search for a mid/high rise tapered pair of jeans. Specifically in a mid blue wash and a light wash, but without distress and fade patterns. Jeans can be tricky for me though without getting a full cut. I have a 32ish waist and 24”ish thighs, so usually the waist and seat is rather large by the time the thigh fits in anything too tapered.

My search began with Anglo Italian. They’re mid and light wash were perfect. But a 31 was too tight in the thigh, and a 32 was droopy everywhere above the crotch line.

I’m now on to Circle of Friends’ M7 Tapered. They’re great. I love them. I love the 6x wash and the 9x wash. But there is a weird amount on excess fabric in the crotch. It’s strange because they fit in the waist, albeit a bit loose, good in the seat, and snug in the thigh. But the crotch forms this weird “bag”. AI did this too when I tried the 32.

So, I was wondering...
1. Do these look as unflattering as I think they do? What’s the deal with this foopoh pouch? Is it cause from being more relaxed up top and then tighter underneath?
2. Does anyone have a solid recommendation for something that might work better and is along the lines of what I’m looking for? Mid and light solid “dad” washes; higher rise; tapered (doesn’t have to be slim)

I appreciate anything you got!
