    ^ Good looking edges.

General question for bespoke customers/crafters: Do you use the keeper? And if not, any reason why you wouldn't have the tie made without it?

I generally use them. I've had a few ties where the keeper came loose and I never bothered to put it back though, so take that for what it's worth.

Kaplan, I always use the keeper personally. If a gentleman does not use the keeper we are happy to not put one in.

Recent addition to my Cappelli collection (su misura). The beige one is linen by Drappers. Not sure of the provenance of the green silk. [IMG] [IMG]

Thanks Whnay. Yes, I did order them from Patrizio when I was down in Napoli a couple of weeks back. Some photographic evidence attached: [IMG]

Another solid navy from Hober, this time in midnight. This one, like the last one, is an unlined, untipped, true 7 fold in silk repp.

I've included this side-by-side comparison with a very similar tie from Borrelli (also untipped, but with a very light partial lining in a four-fold construction). This clearly demonstrates Hober's superior craftsmanship on the hand-rolled edges. I know I probably sound like a Hober shill on here sometimes, but I think the work speaks for itself.

Was offered linen ties by Cappelli. It was very difficult to resist, but I did manage not to order linens.

It is Cappelli. See ID's link in the signature.
