Sneaky move Tom, adding me to 3).
I'm not much of a loafer guy, but willing to take one for the Halway team!

If only this was size 9UK, good for wallet not good for mindAlso for sale (cleaning out the racks a bit in case you didn't notice), size 10UK Chukka boot with open channel stitch. Actually a very nice shoe IMO! Asking €140 excl. VAT. Shipping to EU is free, US and Canada is €10, otherwise €15.

Maybe I am mistaken, I thought you compared them side by side to come to that conclusion.Like, last/size comparisons? I can compare to Meermin's Hok long-wing and a J.Fitzpatrick derby from their JF line if you're interested? Tom's photos are going to be about a million times superior to anything I can put out for a purely Christopher photoshoot lol.
Hahaha ohhh i see -- no I meant I no longer lust for a pair of Pembrokes as i'm more than satisfied with the Christophers.Maybe I am mistaken, I thought you compared them side by side to come to that conclusion.
The loafer last is fantastic!! Better than Carmina Uetam last IMO in terms of fit in heel and more comfortable in toe area. If you like loafers then the Soh Utah loafer is a must have. For those who have the penny loafers in Utah calf, hoe do you like them? Any extra inputs on how they fit? Pics?
And Tom, are the SoH shoe trees available? I'm thinking entering the pre-order for the loafers, really dig them but I going through this phase in which I want the maker shoe trees don't want to use generic ones.![]()
What's the instep like on it? Uetam and Simpson are too low for me... the instep is perfect on the Blaine's I haveThe loafer last is fantastic!! Better than Carmina Uetam last IMO in terms of fit in heel and more comfortable in toe area. If you like loafers then the Soh Utah loafer is a must have.
Also, I don’t think there is a lasted shoe tree from SOH but @Notch can confirm.
The instep will be slightly low for the loafer last and it’s not a high instep last. I think it’s comparable to my Uetam last carmina loafers. @Notch can compare the Soh Blaine’s last and loafer last as I do not own that model. What's the instep like on it? Sounds good. I'm thinking I will need to downsize from my Uetam size for the SoH loafers. Uetam in 9UK is pretty much spot on due to my low volume, narrow feet. The loafer last is fantastic!! I'm thinking unlined and Utah should provide some leeway if it is in fact low instep. The instep will be slightly low for the loafer last and it’s not a high instep last. Not sure if Its good idea to downsize as I take same size in both Uetam and soh loafer last.Sounds good. I'm thinking I will need to downsize from my Uetam size for the SoH loafers. Uetam in 9UK is pretty much spot on due to my low volume, narrow feet.
Curious to see real life pictures of the Christopher and especially a side by side comparison with the Pembroke since you mentioned them.Friends, I've just received those Christophers and I can safely say that the Pembrokes may as well not exist in my universe (and by this I mean the Christophers fully satisfy my current urges for wingtip derbies) anymore (well actually maybe the cigar shell ones but really i just have a hard on for cigar shell in general).. especially so when thinking about the product-to-price ratio. When I actually put on clothes to go outside in 2023 and put these on, it'll be a grand time.
I believe one of our friends here mentioned going down half a size from usual on the Round last and I can definitely see it, but I prefer a slightly roomy fit myself so I'm loving them my usual size.
