So group poll, given my plan is to have a grain type of split toe (probably Horween espresso since dark brown is no longer available), should I stick to my usual fiddledback + tapered heel or rounded + straight heel (and I plan to have vibram topy + metal toe tip)

My inclination is the later given it's suppose to be a more casual make up, and how about toe burnishing, always like it, but never had grain with toe burnishing.

I don't actually have any horween hatchgrain I think it's quite small scaled right? yea, not sure about burnishing have to think about it

Yea hatchgrain still looks pretty classy. You can see my pair which was burnished by Tom. Not sure how the OT burnishing will come out.

@Notch Hmm is it normal for the off white Vekla to pinch a little around the lower vamp area? I guess this will go away once the leather gets softer?

I'm interested in picking up the brown suede, the suede should not need breaking in and will be soft from the start right?

I’m bias but I’d go with the latter choice as I have the same exact specs on my burgundy pair.
