With regards to the sole: Dainite doesn't work with the Contemporary almond last, so City is the way to go!

Never realized I had a low instep til I received these shoes today. I guess I use tongue pads quite often, and with my standard UK size of 8.5 in the George split toe, tightening the shoes all the way causes the facings to almost overlap! The width and heel are just fine. The Carmina Rain split toe model in 8.5 fits me very well without use of insoles or tongue pads and are very comfortable. I'm torn, these shoes are beautiful but I prefer not to use insoles due to the disconcerting feeling my heel will pop out.

Utah leather looks pretty nice to me. @Notch Any chance we can get Chestnut Utah?
Otherwise Museum and Misty are pretty good leather for my taste.
Although, I've read some people don't like how museum age over time.

    First factory update:

Wholecut Chelsea boot in English Grain (I love that leather, and plan to use it more).

This one is a sample for a GMTO. If anyone's interested, just let me know!

Itching for the high boot patten! Looks great. I remember you running that or a similar grain with Vass in the past. Turned out terrific.

    Come on December!

Looks great. Chelseas have really grown on me hard in the past few years.

It's really different then from one person to the other. My father has a low instep and fits the split toe derby in Vegano calf very well.

Yes, I have a few square meters of Chestnut Utah in the factory. I plan to do a captoe derby GMTO with it, but there should be enough for both.

    I will do my best!

    Thank you!

Hit a bit of a problem here: the leather is not in stock. It is one of the few leathers that I don't supply, and the factory could nog get hold of it until now. It is expected to arrive in about 10 days. If I were to proceed with the boots, they would only be finishes at the half of January. Unfortunately, that is too big of a gamble for me, financially. I can't have high boots sitting on the shelves until next winter.

I can do a SF exclusive order though, with delivery middle of January.

The English Grain GMTO you mean? Price is around 310€ excl. VAT, I personally think the Contemporary Almond last fits the Chelsea pattern very well. The sample will be mad with a very nice half rubber sole. Great all year round type of sole. There is no closing date yet :).

Well, that’s unfortunate. But if you can share the pattern and photos of the high boots, I’m sure we can arrange a few GMTO’s. Boots in January is fine with me, and your leather list is great.

    Looking forward to it.
