1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

It's the simple pop songs that get stuck in my head. Thew fewer the chords, the better. Dumb choruses help also...
The Clash - Safe European Home
Ted Leo - Where Have All The Rude Boy's Gone
Teenage Fanclub - I Need Direction
New Pornographers - Sing Me Spanish Techno
Who and nearly every freakbeat band - Leaving Here
    GBV - Glad Girls

for the past couple of weeks i've had the song "what's up" by 4-non-blondes stuck in my head (usually just upon waking), only substituted with the lyrics of Lita Ford's "Kiss me deadly"

i hate that 4-non-blondes song (i had to google it to figure out the title)
and i haven't heard "kiss me deadly" in a decade or more

    so strange

i sang this beast of a mash up to my wife and she was NOT pleased

Night Fever by the Bee Gees.

More than This by Roxy Music, but that's rather pleasant.

Do you hear this in your head by Elvis or by UB40? I find the UB40 version is the one that sticks, unfortunately.

    Elvis. It's much more tolerable.

I hear the version played in "Some Kind of Wonderful" by Lick the Tins in my head, with an intro that sounds like an Irish traditional song, then sung by someone who might have injected too much estrogen. Ugh.
