The recent disaster of an A&S thread got me thinking about drape... again. To me and some others, drape can be seen as slightly sloppy looking, or having shoulders that are too extended to achieve this comfort. Would it be possible, in order to achieve similar freedom of movement to have the front cut clean as a whistle with shoulders that hug more, however in the back have side pleats at the shoulder seams much like the pleats on a shirt right below the yoke? So rather than trying to ease fullness into the shoulder seam creating vertical folds, actually create a pleat so you get the snug shoulder, however more freedom to move your arms and allow the chest to give some. Doable?
