Very nice Tchoy. They look very traditional. Would u mind commenting on leather quality, type of sole, fit and so on please? and how would you compare them to Vass if u have them?

Sorry for the late reply. I missed your post until now.

Thanks for the compliments on the SC. I do have Vass shoes. The differences SC has peg and fiddle waist Vass doesn't. Finish and leather SC higher quality. Fit wise Vass has never been a good fit for me, they don't offer wider fittings. SC will modified a existing last to fit. Due to way SC construct the shoes they have the best support in the arch area. My SC is now the best fitting shoes for me including my Lobbs and Edward Green. Turnaround time is quicker than Vass 6-8 weeks from ordering.

To be fair to Vass the SC are twice the price, Vass is still great value but unfortunately for me it just doesn't fit me well.

I love the nail detail on the bottom. The medallion is unique - is there a story behind it?

most popular medaillons are lyra and thistle.

this is a version of a thistle.

Obviously not the case but i thought Cleverley had the sole rights to MTO Russian Deer and New & Lingwood RTW or something like that.......

I believe Cleverly has the first right of refusal. I have seen Panerai watch straps and wallets made with this stuff.

Congratulations, those are some particularly lovely monks. I've recently ordered a more pedestrian version in suede, and if mine turn out as well as yours there will likely be multiple re-ups in various leathers and colors.

    Wear them in good health!

They look nice, but i usually prefer single monstraps. As alipera2011, I would also like to know which shoes are on sale and their price. Thanks.
