the sander is peak lapel 100% wool or maybe wool/cash blend. retailed around 15 or 1700, can't remember which. it's not in my possession now as i sent it on approval to someone and just waiting for a decision. it is one of the cooler pieces i've gotten. the barbera is flat out amazing. too few people give barbera the due they deserve

I agree on Barbera. On the fabric side (Carlo Barbera) they are IMHO by far the best in Biella. The people are also fabulous there and we're using them for our trouser fabrics this fall. Small (tiny) compared to the big mills in the valley but the quality and care is amazing.

I considered bidding on that Barbera jacket. It's beautiful. But, I have too many jackets already.... If it had been even more of a steal, I might have "bit."

the barbera wouldn't be a "jacket" per se, more of a shirt, but it does have lining. it's awesome, although that sander is awesome too.

I saw a Hickey Freeman jacket very similar to the Isaia at Value Village a couple of weeks ago. Looked nice, too big for me, not worth reselling. What league is Isaia in (I admit I've never heard of it)?

isaia is excellent stuff. not kiton but it's definitely better than canali. robb report had them the top MTM suitmaker.

I list Isaia as near, though probably not coequal with, Kiton and about 1000x better than Canali.  They also have the second coolest name in menswear, behind Incotex.

Kiton has established themselves as the best of the best primarily by using really high-end fabrics.  For my first Kiton, I'm thinking about using the Shroud of Turin.
