1. Hi. We moved systems, and because it was impossible to achieve feature parity between the systems, we opted to archive the old B&S threads but allow users to read them so that they can put them into our new B&S system.

There is a support thread if you have any issues.

    Cheers,

Here are a couple of things that didn't work out for me.

They're free. I reserve the right to be completely arbitrary (if not capricious) in determining who I send them to. Plead your case.

However, to get them you must:

    1. Agree not flip them (if the don't work for you, give them to someone else); and

    2. Have a CONUS street address (I'll be sending them FedEx because that way I don't have to schlep to the post office).

Item 1 - Earnest Sewn Fulton Jeans in Patriot No. 53.

Waist is a hair under 14.5 inches
    Thigh: ~11 inches
    Knee: 8 inches
    Leg opening: 8 inches
    Waist to honeycombs: ~23 inches

If you're short (like I am) forget it. The rise is too high and most importantly, the honeycombs will fall between your calves and your ankles. However, for free or if your over 40 (again like me) you might not mind looking like a [insert a befitting pejorative phrase].

I bought these from another SF member and I'm stealing his pics:

Item 2 is an older Armani Sportcoat that I bought on eBay. Below are a couple of photos from the auction. This is a nicer coat that the tie that is shown with it would suggest. It's too big through the shoulder for me and a bit too long; otherwise I would have kept it. It's 80% wool, 20% cashmere.

    Measurements are:

CHEST measured from armpit seam to armpit seam, x2 40"
SLEEVE LENGTH measured from shoulder seam to cuff hem. 24.5"
UNDER ARM LENGTH measured from armpit seam to cuff hem. 17.5"
TOTAL LENGTH OF JACKET Measured from top of collar to bottom of jacket. 30"
SHOULDER TO SHOULDER Measured from shoulder seam to shoulder seam. 18"

It's marked as a 38R, measures like a 38S, and fits like a 38R. I think it's because the collar is short. Total length may be 30", but its only about 29" from the bottom of the collar.

I'm starting to like this trend of people giving away stuff for zilch. Rolo, you have been PMed.

Answering a couple of the questions asked via PM:

The inseam on the jeans is 32.5", front rise is 9" and rear rise is 14".

I also remeasured the waist running the circumference rather than across and its 30".

Also, these are completely free. I'm covering shipping.

Doh. I knew I probably wasn't the only PM for the ES. Well, I hope the lucky punk who gets these enjoys them. And if he does decide to pass on them, I surely hope I'm next in line. [IMG]

Wow, that was incredibly nice of you. Way to go, man. I would have wanted to give them to my little brother, but it sounds like they have already been claimed. [IMG]

I did promise to be arbitrary and, perhaps, capricious.

Accordingly, the items have yet to be claimed. Here's what I'm going to do (since there was much more interest than expected).

I will pick four people for each item (not so randomly, probably because you seem deserving, made me laugh, etc.).

I will then randomly assign each person to a team in the NCAA BBall final four.

The person assigned to the winning team will get the item.

I'll make the assignments tonight, so if you want be considered PM me or post a note to this thread.

Both of those items would fit me really well.

I'll take an open slot on either/both.

I want the armani jacket, as I need to complete the 80's era gigolo look. Also GO BRUINS, my ala mater, so I should get first dibs on the team.

Ahh! Seeing as I'm currently a grad student at USC, do I go for anyone but UCLA, or do I support the LA area in general. Seems like I'm in a win win situation when it comes to the NCAA. [IMG]

Good thing I've been keeping up with my voodoo to help keep the gods, capricious or otherwise, at bay.
