Some advice for professor

Well, guys I have just recently joined this site. Great info.
I have a great appreciation for shoes and clothing design. I must admit that my closet of shoes does not contain a bespoke pair. I am acollege professor and spent part of my day in a painitng studio, so practicality is an issue. Any suggestions on how to break into the realm of the bespoke shoe. I currently own a few pair of Allen Edmonds (forgive me)and just bought a pair of Antonio Maurizzi that i like. I am afan of the lace up, not a slip on type.
Any suggestions for slightly squared toe brown brouges?

Allen Edmonds are a reat lower cost shoe. Nothing to be ashamed of there!

I agree. I like some of their designs. I just wished they'd keep some of their older ones (like the MacNeil) rather than keep designing new ones.

I have several Allen Edmonds that have been discontinued.
Makes me wonder if you can call them and order some of their discontinued styles with some modifications. This is the pair of Antonio Maurizi oxfords I recently purchased. I can't find out much about the brand. the web site isn't much help in that regard. Anybody had any experience with them. Wilkes Bashford in SF carried them at some point. This is what I'm calling squared toe, maybe i should say welt. What is chisel -ish?

This is a chisel toe (thanks sysdoc)
It come to a narrower width at the tip there than the one you posted.

Thanks. I assume "chisel -toe" is the proper term then?Have anything to do with the angle down on the top of the toe?
