Some Adults Don't Produce Under-arm Odor

    But who knows if that applies to men (other than the very tiny percentage that never went through puberty).

    this gene is not what produces underarm odour.

    There was no explanation of what the function (if known) of the gene actually was, let alone evidence that this particular polymorphism completely switches off body odour production - which is not actually produced physiologically anyway but a product of microbial growth.

    I would have to assume that the gene itself is in some way related to the immune system.

    Anyway, I'm skeptical.

    Yes, technically microbial growth causes the odor (other than pheromones?), but let's assume the researchers know that, even if the author of the article doesn't.
