Filson Weatherproof All Leather Original Briefcase

These all leather Filson briefcases are amazing. If you're a Filson fan, head to a store and check one out in person. They are so much better in the flesh than my photos (or the various stock Filson photos of the bag) can convey. You won't be disappointed. The veg-tanned leather on the bag smells incredible and you'll notice the good deep leather smell the instant you pull it out of the packaging. I'm really particular about leather, especially leather jackets and bags, and I've handled a lot of amazing leathers, old and new. I'm super impressed with the leather Filson sourced on these bags. It's excellent stuff that will look better and better as it's worn and aged. Note that this bag, though very very similar in design to their Original Briefcase, is actually a bit larger and has a few refinements (better materials on the interior of the bag, and better organization inside).

The new Weatherproof bags are made with a proprietary leather that's vegetable-tanned by Wickett & Craig, the 150-year-old Pennsylvania tannery that makes our Bridle Leather. We worked with our longtime partner to develop this special boot-grade leather that is weather- and salt water-resistant, then added solid brass hardware and felt-lined shoulder straps so that the bag on your back on your arm is as tough as the boots on your feet. Modeled after the most popular briefcase, this bag features a wool-felt shoulder strap for comfort and security and two internal dividers to keep tools and electronics separate.
