John Lobb needs no introduction—supple leather. Elegant, classic styling. Striking and famous “museum” finish. These shoes are aesthetically memorable.

I bought these shoes for myself, but I should have bought a half-size smaller. I’ve kept them in shoe trees in my closet. I have never worn the shoes. Any wear on them comes from slipping on the shoe to try-on. Creasing is almost nonexistent.

I wear a 9.5 UK in the Carmina Rain last, and a 10 UK in the Simpson last. Both fits were snug, but after break in they were a really nice fit, the Rain more so. How does the 7000 last compare to the aforementioned? Would this shoe fit too big or a little tight? My feet are considered wide (think US 10.5 E). Thanks.

Thanks for writing. Unfortunately, I don't know. I have some double monks in the 10UK Rain last, and they are fairly roomy on my feet, volume-wise (such that I need to wear fairly thick boot socks to fit snugly). The folks in the Carmina and Lobb threads might be able to provide better counsel.
